Before we get started let’s take a moment to talk about this artist rep photo. Pretty fly for an old guy, we think.Now let’s talk about the track. We came across LunchBoxr, or otherwise known as Jonny Prince & Tomahawk Jodi, when they started following Chance’s Soundcloud yesterday. We finally got the chance to check out the artist page today and can say that we are thoroughly impressed. We were even glad to discover that they are based in South Atlanta, Georgia. “Where You Are” is the first track we was introduced to and we can easily declare it as a good first sound for anyone who hasn’t heard of the artist. It starts of with a subtle lead and no sign of obvious sign of a build up, but about 24 bars in a clean drum line is introduced in unison with a dreamy vocal sample that has our tails in a wagging frenzy. With more soothing and catchy sounds like “Boogie” and “Tiger Kick” LunchBoxr is a presence to look out for.
